Although many churches are clear on their view of worship on a leadership level, they often struggle to communicate the why behind worship to their people, including those helping lead the musical worship. Matthew offers seminars to help guide people into the why behind worship – beyond musical preferences – so that the church can have greater unity and become fully alive, wholehearted worshipers of the living God regardless of their worship "style."
Matthew's hour-long seminar begins with his own story of coming alive to the Gospel through worship, and uses hymns as a framework to illustrate how worship engages our imagination, intellect, will, and emotions. The remainder of the time is dedicated to questions and interaction to apply these concepts at the local level.
Matthew also speaks at conferences and at colleges and universities.
